The bonsais are available in a wide range of species. They all stand for an ultimate look. A trimming is an important process to be applied to the trees. A style and look of the tiny tree reflect the way of trimming. We can see almost 5 basic styles. A presenting shape of the tree is dependent upon the trunk slants, and their distance from the imaginary vertical line. Know the 5 basic styles.

Formal Upright

It is a very basic style. We find some Anthurium Plants in this style. A bonsai tree of this style has the horizontal branches and an erect leader. They look dashing in the oval or triangular style pot. It is easy for the beginner to develop the bonsai tree of this style as it demands easy and straight pruning. The main root branch is almost the straight and vertical. And it consists the horizontal branches.

Informal Upright

This is a common style of bonsai tree. The main root branch of this style does not need to be the vertically straight. The small curves in a root branch give a natural look as a normal tree. A branch arrangement in an informal upright bonsai is somewhat same with the formal right. But, the branches are not erect in the style.

Slanting

This style tree continually grows up. But, the root branch makes an angle with the imaginary vertical line. It is an in between category of formal upright and informal upright styles. The tree of this style is also known as the “leaner”.

Cascade

In this pattern, a tree is needed to be plotted on somewhat height, like on the table. A root starts to grow up from the upward from the soil. Then, it abruptly grows towards the downwards and reach to the bottom of a container.

Semi-Cascade

A semi-cascade Bonsai Tree has the most acute angle in the totally opposite direction, in which a normal tree grows up. It bends towards the ground.

Just Take Care of Following Points to Have a Healthy Anthurium Plant

Anthurium plants simply grow up with the basic caring. The indoor plants, most probably suffer from the Rhizoctinia disease. The main reason behind it, is a poorly drained soil, high temperature and humidity. This disease can be cured by the wide range fungicides. We are  discussing about some important care taking tips for the plants.

Temperature
The light matters a lot in the growth of Anthurium Plant. During the daytime,78 to 90 F and  70 to 75 F temperature for the night is best for the maximum growth. If the temperature varies then, it starts affecting the growth speed. The above 90 F can be the reason, for foliar burning and reduced flower life.

Light
The plant consumes the maximum light you provide. But the direct hot sunlight is dangerous and even the low light will result in the slower flower production. It is advisable to put the Anthurium pot in the eastern or southern window. If not possible, then western window is also okay, but make sure that it is protected from the direct afternoon rays.

Humidity
Anthuriums are originated from the tropical environment. Thus, it is more advisable to put them over a pebble tray and mist frequently to have a healthy plant.

Watering
The continuous moisture is not acceptable. Thus, let it be dry between watering. Utilize the potting soil with a pumice and orchid bark. Take care of watering from the starting It is meaningless if you start caring after the plant become totally dry. If so, then it will take a time.

Fertilizers
In the starting few months, fertilizing is not an issue. But after some time, it is required to have a great nutritional value in the plant. The same thing is applied to the Bonsai Tree as well.

Potting
The soil with ¼ orchid bark, best suits with the drier climate. If the plant start to get dry, then just put it up into the one size larger pot.

Be Aware to Protect the Bonsai Tree and Anthurium Plant

Bonsai trees and Anthurium plants are the center of attention in the home garden. Just to put a plant on the balcony is not enough. Plants also need some extra care and attention to grow more beautiful. So, here we will go through some points regarding how to take care of them.

Taking care of Bonsai Tree:

The main objects which affect a Bonsai Tree are sunlight, watering, temperature range and season. Select the proper tree reliant as per the environment where you are going to keep it. For the indoors tropical trees are the best selection. Even to maintain excellent look throughout the year coniferous trees are also preferable. If you are planting a bonsai from seed, then just give it a time to take root then start trimming and cutting. An extra effort to grow it from seeds will give better rewards. If you are selecting a bonsai plant than just check its roots are evenly spread and select the tree with a sturdy trunk but still young.

Bonsai trees quickly react to the seasons. Some reasons have four seasons to be considered and some have three. During the winter, the tree need is only proper watering. Avoid trimming in this season because the growth ratio is very slow in winters. In spring the tree starts to consume the nutrients and sprout the new leaves to grow. It is good to add extra nutrients and start trimming in this season. During summers trees need more water. In monsoon the nutrients begin accumulating again so it’s a good time for trimming and repotting.

Give it a direct sunlight in the morning and provide shelter in the afternoon. Basically, it is a thumb rule for all trees, but just check it for your tree. If it is placed in the balcony or window, then move it by 90 degrees every few days so that all branches can receive an equal amount of light. During summer save it from a high temperature and take it inside. Don’t let the soil to dry and dusty. Daily watering is perfect for bonsai. Select the proper training style which is suitable for your tree. Perfect turns of the branches look lovely, so wrap the wire at 45 degrees and train the tree. Don’t wrap the wire too tightly it damages the tree. When the tree starts growing into shape than just rewire it. Put it in a proper container and don’t over-prune it. Add some extra obstacles like stones, shells, rocks, tiny plant to give it a natural look.

Taking care of Anthurium Plant:

The Anthurium Plants need more water. But they are more sensitive of direct sun rays. SO put it in a shelter otherwise their leaves get started burning. Anthurium plant gives a pleasant atmosphere. Nitrogen plays an important role in the plant growth as it covers 78% of the air. Phosphorus regulates the growth of the plant. Scarcity of potassium is responsible to turn the leaves in yellow colour. So make sure for the proper amount of potassium is available in the soil.

How Indoor Plants Improve Quality of Air?

People are working indoors not outdoors. Obviously, they need a fresh environment for healthy work. Plants are well-recognized for their improvement properties. They can change the air by absorbing all of its chemicals and make it fresh for you to breathe in. Today, indoor environments are completely sealed because of Air Conditions and possess synthetic material that reveal chemicals into air. These chemicals are named as VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Research has proved that indoor plants have the power to remove chemicals from air. VOCs are present in bulk in air and that are caused due to material present at that particular place. Indoor Plants reduce the concentration of VOCs from air and this is how they enhance the quality of air. Their properties are enough to fight against chemicals and making the air free from it.

Synthetic materials of office includes computers, printers, personal care, cleaners and building material. All these material create various types of chemicals like adhesives, printers benzene, ceiling tiles, xylene, toluene and particle board. Data shows that there are more than 300 VOCs present in the office environment. More than 90% people spent their time at indoor environment which means a continuous absorption of harmful chemicals through air. In 1980, Dr. Wolverton working in NASA proved that indoor plants can remove VOCs from sealed environment. The same property is contained by anthurium plant, but it is an outdoor plant.

Reports say that many people suffering from arthritis and rheumatism diseases make the use of Anthurium Plants. Leaves of this plants are truly beneficial for such types of diseases. People cut the leaves of this plant and boil them in a pot. They put a chair over this pot and sitting upon it with a blanket. When the properties of this plant enters into body, it makes rest to arthritis and reduce the pain of joints. It is also useful for strength of muscles and other joints. Notify the difference by wrapping a leaf of anthurium on your neck and peel it off at the end of the day. You will notice a rest on your neck that you never felt before. Its just a natural way to cure your disease.
