Bonsai Trees Can Only Create a Beautiful Landscape for Your Home Decoration

Bonsai has a long history of more than thousand years. In earlier days having bonsai is the prerogative of the aristocrats, priests and official enjoying a higher rank in the hierarchy only. It took almost another three centuries for the common people to enjoy the bonsai art. When Japan opened its door to the western countries after three centuries of isolation, this Japanese art has become well known across the world. People took interest in this art, learned it and started growing bonsai not merely as hobby but as a pursuit of aesthetics and regard to beauty of the nature.

Though bonsai traditionally means growing temperate climate trees outdoor in containers, at present you can grow Bonsai Trees form many varieties of plants like  Pines and maples whose leaves change color; fruit bearing trees and flowering trees as well. There are also various types and styles of bonsai based on the orientation of the main trunk. These are broadly classified as formal upright having a straight upright, informal upright with visible curves in the trunk and branches, slant style when the trunk emerges at an angle and cascade type when the apex below the base of the pot. There are  different sizes of bonsai ranging from one-handed to eight-handed based on the number of persons required for handling.

Bonsai though means outdoor dwarf trees it can also be grown indoor. While growing bonsai the first thing that should be kept in mind that the tree should not loose its individuality. It must also be remembered that unlike other pieces of art it has life and therefore they need your love and care like other living beings if you wish to add decor to your home with bonsai. Growing bonsai starts with choosing a tree that suits the climate. Then obtain a healthy plant and prepare it by pruning and put it in a pot having coarse gain soil as a base and then putting finer loose soil on this. You should also protect the Bonsai Plants for the first few weeks form direct sunlight, harsh winds and keep it in a shaded area till it becomes accustomed to its new environment. You can also have prepared plants form market for decorating your home.
